The investment for 2025-2030 programme will see Thames Water continue to invest in its water and wastewater network which serves 15 million people across London and the Thames Valley. Activities will include the new installation and replacement of existing trunk and rising mains; pressure management; the inspection of aqueducts, bridges and tunnels; the rehabilitation of sewers, pumping station refurbishment and gravity solutions to maintain asset health and accommodate growth.

1. QUALITY ADVISOR – DELIVERY (Central Scotland)

The position of ‘Quality Advisor – Delivery’ sits within SPT Projects, who are the engineering and construction arm for Scottish Power’s SPEN business. The role will be supporting large-scale CDM projects providing guidance and surveillance for a variety of internal & external QA/ QC compliance.
The project types range from the refurbishment of existing Substations and Overhead Lines to new-build Substations, OHLs and Underground Cable installation. The projects typically have disaggregated work packages with multiple contractors involved in delivering one project.
The role is hybrid working but will involve inspecting a number of sites (typically 2-3 per week) within the network area, which can be from Stirling/ Fife to Scottish Borders/ Dumfries & Galloway (mileage reimbursement is based upon the Cambuslang office location, G32 8FA).


1.1 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand the scope of works in discussion with the SPT Projects Project Manager and review the Contractor’s Quality Management Plan and ITPs with associated Check Sheets.
• Attend the Project Kick-off Meeting to brief the contractors on SPT’s quality expectations
• Provide support and advice to project and office based staff to achieve compliance with internal and external quality management systems and industry best practices
• Attend project progress and coordination meetings where required to provide quality input or guidance.

The National Senior QA Advisor role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and effective team member to join the national quality improvement team as a screening QA advisor in the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening and Diabetic Eye Screening (DES) portfolio.

This exciting post provides the opportunity to work with a high degree of autonomy, whilst working closely with the senior clinical lead (CPH).
In this role you will be responsible of the delivery of a comprehensive programme of quality assurance functions, capable of maintaining and further developing, effective high quality screening nationally. You will be required to provide strategic leadership for the place based quality assurance service, providing specialist advice and leading on national programme changes, which will play a pivotal role in the continual development and improvement of the NHS Screening Programmes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders at a national, regional, ICB and local level. support of the senior clinical lead (CPH) in the delivery of a comprehensive
programme of quality assurance capable of maintaining and further
developing, effective high quality screening throughout the area.

The post holder will be expected to develop close liaison and communication with local screening programmes, provider organisations and commissioners in order to monitor organisations against minimum standards of service performance and quality across all elements of NHS Screening Programmes.

The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues from other portfolio teams and nationally in order to promote consistency across national screening programmes and in the delivery of the regional quality assurance function.

The successful candidate must be able to operate independently with the capability to interpret, implement and provide specialist advice ensuring that all advice being given by that team is evidence based. The Senior QA Advisor will identify matters of particular complexity/sensitivity and know when to seek advice from professional clinical experts.

This role will involve working with colleagues across the directorate and in
other directorates, leading or supporting agreed workstreams as appropriate.

There will be a consistently close working relationship between members of the Quality Assurance team and portfolio teams, to provide subject matter expertise and support the delivery of the sub-directorate objectives.

This position is responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of quality and clinical governance systems and processes across all business functions to ensure a high standard of quality, care and safety. Some of the key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Develop and lead a high performing quality focused culture
Lead the implementation and maintaining of RSLLC Clinical Governance Framework Quality Framework.
Drive the effective engagement and use of local teams with the RSL LifeCare Quality Management Systems
Monitor compliance with quality assurance activities, including audit schedules, and address any issues identified
Assist in preparing responses to external bodies, such as the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, within designated time frames.
Engage with and support National Clinical Governance focus areas, review best practice initiatives, and recommend strategies to improve care standards and effectiveness.

About You:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as in nursing, or other health profession, quality management or related discipline
Minimum of 3 years' Quality Management experience within the health or aged care sector
Able to travel interstate
Ability to build and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external groups
High level interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to foster effective working relationships with line managers and gain cooperation in the development and implementation of processes and/or projects.
Proven ability in quality management and regulatory compliance using a team building approach through mentoring, support and staff development
A sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and guidelines
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
