Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead in conceptualising the overall strategy and framework for Healthy Precinct.

• Plan and operationalise Health Precincts to achieve health-social integration with internal and community stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in healthcare or business related fields
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare, corporate/strategic planning and partnership development, including minimum 5 years of leadership experience
• Proven strategic thinking and planning ability
• Excellent writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skill

To undertake the operational and administrative functions this will include: 1. Provide comprehensive PA support to the Chief Pharmacist including word processing documents, correspondence, reports as required for the assisting them with the processing of documents that she/he produces filing,photocopying and the composition of letters.2. Provide a full diary management service - booking meetings organising travel and preparing complex travel itineraries.3. Being first contact for the Chief Pharmacist and taking autonomous action asappropriate.4. Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring that urgent correspondence andmessages are given priority.5. Produce PowerPoint presentations and overheads for presentations.6. Update and maintain mailing for distributing information and contact details.7. Maintain an effective and secure filing system.8. Lead strategic planning within the pharmacy service and influence more widely across the RMH by providing expert/specialist guidance and advice to project teams across the trust, while also calling upon and using the other members of the pharmacy leadership team. To deputise for the Chief Pharmacist and provide expert advice in relation to all matters pertaining to the safe and effective use of medicines. To lead on the development of systems and processes to enhance the operational and strategic use of medicines at RMH. Use opportunities to include Patient and Public Involvement (PPI), including patients, family members, carers, and the public to help develop and improve pharmacy services within RMH in a meaningful and informed way. Interpret broad clinical / professional policies and NHS guidance to ensure that Pharmacy practice remains contemporary and relevant components of the overall Pharmacy strategic plans are appropriately updated.

The post holder will work across the NW London ICS to support the ICS Chief Pharmacist manage the effective working of medicines governance & access and delivery objectives of the NW London-wide Medicines Optimisation Team. The post holder will have responsibility for the operational management of the Medicines Governance & Access specialism. The job description and person specification are an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The job holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager. Operational management of the Medicines Governance and Access specialism to deliver the strategic aims of the four ICB objectives and as required by the ICS Chief Pharmacist. Working within the overall strategic objectives, devise and lead the implementation and delivery of medicines optimisation work. This will require using own highly specialist knowledge and experience to appraise options, influence others and create evidence where it is lacking. Responsibility for the integration of medicines optimisation across NW London interface to deliver measurable improvements in medicines optimisation and health outcomes. Support the ICS Chief Pharmacist in building and maintaining effective relationships with system leaders and other stakeholders and leading evolution of the system wide Medicines Optimisation strategy. Accountable for working collaboratively in the development and implementation of qualitative and quantitative measures to determine performance against medicines optimisation programs. Report progress against the program through personal representation and by written reports at relevant meetings and groups. Develop and implement schemes and frameworks to ensure legal, safe, cost effective and best value use of medicines in NHS services, driving change for national and locally agreed targets relating to medicines management. Ensure coherent system and financial management for drugs across the local healthcare system, including through deep collaboration with Trusts, relevant IMOC and delegated subgroups.
