About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Lecturer and Programme Leader to join our ambitious team at Northumberland College, leading and delivering on a variety of courses across Construction; in particularly a sound knowledge of Carpentry and Joinery would be desirable. If you are passionate about this area and have a strong track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities within a career focussed curriculum, then this is the ideal job for you. Although not essential, an understanding of retrofit, green skills in Construction and emerging trends would be beneficial.
About the you
You will need to be organised, innovative, a real team player and have the drive to further grow our links with key employers. The successful candidate will be integral to our high performing team supporting and leading on delivery across our 16-19 study programmes, adults and some apprenticeship delivery. This post may include evening delivery on our adult programmes, up to two evenings per week.
You should hold a relevant teaching qualification along with industry recognised qualifications at Level Three. We would also welcome applications from candidates with vocationally relevant industry experience in this sector.
Within the personal statement, practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification and examples of your teaching practice should be included.
