Our Markets business is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It combines sophisticated 24- hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets. Our services are offered both online and offline in more than 60 countries and territories worldwide. We specialise in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Corporate Sales, Markets and Securities Services.
Principal Responsibilities
- Grow the international corridor business, including the China corridor
- Originate Markets business by providing cross-asset treasury solutions to corporate clients
- Identify sales opportunities by developing a deep understanding of the clients’ domestic and cross border hedging, investment and financing needs
- Service a portfolio of international clients ranging from transactional to strategic clients
- Provide solutions across a range of products, ranging from vanilla to structured products
- Build deep and strategic client relationships to enhance the HSBC franchise
- Manage business relationships, including with transactional clients who may be serviced on
- e-platforms for flow based business
- Manage the entire sales process including post trade processes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Cash and Trade product partners to service clients and improve share of wallet
- Use performance management and client development plans, to strengthen client relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Markets Sales to corporates across flow and events related business
- Strong understanding of Markets products, covering foreign exchange instruments such as Spot, Options, Swaps, and Forwards, and interest rate derivatives and an ability to understand and manage a diverse and complex product set
- Strong understanding of needs of corporates, client base, market regulations and key sales processes
- Hold relevant exams and qualifications to satisfy local and any cross border market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities
- Role holder will also be working with Mandarin speaking clients, hence fluency in Mandarin is required
- Good teamwork skills
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
