Field Application Engineer (FAE) team’s objective is to provide first line technical 
support for the assigned product lines. Work closely with product marketing to meet assigned principals’ design win goals and objectives. Interact with customers’ R&D engineers to promote principals’ products and solutions. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:- 

• Promote principals' focus products to the account base's R&D engineers for 
  design-in. 
• Work closely with sales and marketing, to fulfill expectations of the assigned 
  product lines, with regards to design-in and design-win activities. 
• Keep up to date on customer’s design activities, through regular contacts with 
  customers. 
• Keep abreast of the latest innovation of relevance to customers' product

Requirements:- 

• Diploma / Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. 
• Minimum 2-3 years R&D / Product Development and/or Field Applications engineering experience.

• Strong electronic (Analog/Digital) background. 
• Effective communication skills, negotiation skills and presentation skills. 
• Willing to travel. 

Responsibilities:

• Involved in all phases of software development life-cycle.
• Analyze requirements based on specifications.
• Design, code, test and document program applications and web portals.
• Develop and manage reports, back office administrative tools.
• Create software, feature and change control documents.
• Work with technical team to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Manage change requests, integration with other external applications and databases.
•  Develop and code custom web-based applications using .net framework and SQL server on The backend.

Requirements:

• Min 3-5 years of experience in developing applications equipped with strong knowledge of coding practices.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in object-oriented programming, WPF, .NET (C#), MS Visual Studio, ASP.NET and IIS, Web Services, OO Design, XML, T-SQL, JavaScript, MVC, Bootstrap.
• Wide range of knowledge in developing web applications, websites and associated web services.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Exposure on mobile applications will be an added advantage.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.

Position Responsibilities:

As the lead in implementing GEC projects focused on community-based management of mangrove and coastal ecosystems in, Johor, Perak, Selangor and Peninsular Malaysia including mangrove conservation and restoration, hydrology management, prevention of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and development of sustainable livelihood programme based on mangrove forest resources for local community groups and other related including:-

• Providing technical support on best practices in mangrove management and restoration, as well as impact evaluation techniques;
• Implementing ongoing projects on community-based management of mangrove conservation and restoration;
• Managing and coordinating mangrove-based product development projects linked to sustainable livelihood;
• Evaluating and resolving technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues, ensuring labeling and marketing/promotional literature match product specifications;
• Researching and monitoring the existing client base and industry developments, identifying potential new product opportunities;
• Collaborating with other organizations to establish design, technology, product development, and vendor strategies;
• Developing new projects and activities in partnership with local government, community, private sector, and other NGOs;
• Managing and guiding a team of project programme officers, supporting capacity building, knowledge sharing, and resource management to ensure the team supports GEC’s current and future programmes/initiatives;

• Developing linkages and support for collaboration among key stakeholders in the Selangor State and Peninsular Malaysia.
