Job Responsibilities
- After being hired at Mizuho Research & Technologies Asia, you will be assigned as a Chief Engineer of the bank IT Infrastructure position.
- The main roles and responsibilities are as below:
- Supporting day to day maintenance operation of Head Office IT infrastructure, liaising with Head Office and partner vendors in Singapore.
- Working as L2 help desk, supporting errors detected within the operation section of the bank. The operation section is monitoring the operation of hardware 24/7.
- Supporting Project Management of replacement of hardware (EOS), liaising with Head Office and partner vendors in Singapore.
- In Mizuho Research & Technologies Asia, there are other person in charge of IT infrastructure, and you are expected to work closely together with those members as well as IT partner vendors.
- The IT infrastructure you will be involved in consist of client-server architecture.
- You will be required to manage schedules, issues, resource control, cost estimation, trouble shooting, partner vendor management together with Head Office members, and the Management of Mizuho Research & Technologies Asia to maintain stable system operation.
- Creating and reviewing documents and deliverables of the projects are also part of your responsibility.
- Proposing enhancement projects and new products to improve the Bank’s infrastructure stability and efficiency.
- Strictly complying with policy and procedures including Head Office System Development Rules.
Job Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the IT infrastructure field including 3 years of experience in project management. Experience in the Banking industry is preferable.
- Knowledge and experience of client-server architecture is required.
- Knowledge and experience of mainframe computers is preferable.
- Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Japanese proficiency is preferable. The ability to interact effectively across all levels, including counterparts from the headquarter in Japan and also local and international clients and vendors, will help the candidate perform successfully in the role.
- Coordination skills to handle various parties, such as both local and international clients, vendors, and counterparts.
