The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Line Supervisor to join our operational team as a Team Leader on the Afternoon Shift at our Braeside facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the production team and ensuring the smooth running of the production line while maintaining our high-quality product standards. You will also ensure compliance with company quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Informing other Managers about production matters
Controlling the preparation of production records and reports
Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
Monitoring product quality before packaging by inspecting, taking samples and adjusting treatment conditions when necessary
Cleaning equipment, pumps, hoses, storage tanks, vessels and floors, and maintaining infestation control programs
Oversee daily bakery operations, including mixing and baking processes
Lead and develop the production team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
Provide strong, hands-on leadership focused on team development, open communication, and cross-training
Ensure targets are met in a fast-paced production environment
Ensure compliance with Quality, GMP, HACCP, Hygiene, and Food Safety policies
Prioritize Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), with a focus on reducing Lost Time Injury (LTI) and incident frequency year-on-year
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2-year work experience in the food manufacturing industry in a supervisory capacity.
Relevant qualifications in one of engineering or production/business management.
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on people and culture
A background in baking (desirable but not essential)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong numerical, planning, and organizational abilities
