As a specialist rotational clinical pharmacist, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and attend Consultant-led ward rounds to inform and influence prescribing decisions. You will be able to do this across a range of clinical areas including our Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit. Wellow Unit specialises in providing holistic care to people in their last hours to days of life within St Marys Hospital. Currently based within the Compton Ward template, Wellow Unit consists of 3 side rooms providing nurse led care. During times of increased demand, we can flex up to 6 beds depending upon the side room availability on Compton Ward. We are a nurse led team working collaboratively with the Hospital Integrated Palliative and End of Life Team (IPET) who take hospital referrals, assess, plan, and review the symptom control of those patients in our care. The unit is overseen by our Consultant Nurse. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment in which patients receive the optimal level of care and symptom control at their end of their lives, and one in which their loved ones feel able to be present and supported in the way they wish to be. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing respectful and compassionate end of life care. You will have high standards in relation to person centred care and be someone who can work within a small but mutually supportive team. You will be someone with good communication skills who is able to be present with others and understanding of human distress, putting people at ease during potentially difficult circumstances. As we are a small team there is a need for all staff members to be flexible with their working hours covering days, night and weekends where required. In return we can offer training with syringe drivers, symptom control and nurse verification of death. We also have access to regular clinical supervision with additional support and training where required. Are you looking for a rotational post in the community in Hull and the East Riding? We are able to offer a rotational post that currently covers Hull and East Riding Community Rehabilitation and Hull and East Riding Intermediate Care. Our Community Rehabilitation team work with patients who have a variety of physical and neurological conditions, with the overall aim of them being able to maintain or improve their functional ability after illness/injury or a deterioration in their condition.

We work alongside Physiotherapists and Associate Practitioners to achieve patient goals, which can be as varied as being able to prepare a meal independently following a brain injury, to being able to get up the stairs to use the bathroom following a hip fracture.

The aim of our Intermediate Care service is to prevent hospital admissions and to facilitate discharges. We have several bedded units in the community where we work on rehab goals with patients before they go home. We also carry out rehab with people in their own homes, and we respond to crisis when people are struggling at home .

We work alongside Physios, Nurses, Pharmacists, GPs and Associate Practitioners in our MDTs. The working pattern in Intermediate Care includes working some weekends/public holidays and evenings until 8pm.

We have recently begun a cross organisational rotation with our Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust colleagues, therefore are very pleased to be able to support staff who are wanting to have experience in both physical and mental health. We are very happy to support and develop new staff, including those who have recently qualified and are developing their professional skills. We have a supportive Band 5 peer group who meet regularly, and an OT Professional Development group also.

As the demand for our specialist healthcare services continues to grow, we’re looking to recruit experienced professionals to our team to support this next phase of development.

With this in mind, we’re seeking a passionate Healthcare Development Manager.

As a Healthcare Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Sales Development: Delivering sales and profit forecasts for Rowlands Pharmacy across core sectors of secondary care, including NHS Trusts and private sector service opportunities.
• Pipeline Creation: Developing a robust pipeline of EBIT opportunities for future years while maintaining an accurate customer database to generate and qualify leads.
• Consultative Selling: Using your experience and insight to create tailored commercial solutions for each customer, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining good client relationships.
• Collaboration: Building a relationship network with key stakeholders internally and externally, developing sales proposals, and supporting the tender submission process.
• Market Strategy: Shaping the market by creating innovative pipeline opportunities and new models of care, ensuring long-term profitable growth for Rowlands.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

• Sales Experience: A proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development leadership, ideally within the healthcare sector.
• Relationship Building Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at a high level, influence, and negotiate deals.
• Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable objectives, targets, and operational plans.
• Customer Focus: A commitment to quality and a customer/patient focus, with the ability to address complex projects and market ambiguity.
• Education and Experience: Educated to degree level or equivalent, or possess five years of senior management experience, with strong analytical thinking and financial acumen.
