Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, this role is responsible for delivering technical training to technicians as well as support teams.
• Provides subject matter expertise for technical training, assesses employee technical skill needs and assists in the as-needed adaptation of training program materials, ensuring training content aligns appropriately to requirements.
• The Technical Instructor is responsible for supporting the instructional design process, including design/redesign of internal training courses and its execution
• Conducts assessment of course objectives vs. student performance to ensure quality of training
• Supports the various SME’s in shop floor OJT to untraining technicians in the work center.

Requirements:

• Diploma holder and at least 6+ years of experience in oil and gas
• Familiar with overhead crane operations
• Must be Soldering IPC J-STD-001 CIT certified

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of technical staff, focused on the SLB X-11 Coiled Tubing Unit portfolio and pressure containing equipment, and assists in delivery of the products to the customer and providing customer support for the product during its life cycle. The position reports to the Project Manager for Coiled Tubing Surface Equipment located in Houston, Texas,USA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and supervising the work of the team to deliver the technology.
• Develop and implement technology improvements for the product.
• Manage a local team with some remote support engineers to deliver the technology and coordinate tasks and deliverables with other internal organisations.
• Analize, design, develop maintain products and assist in their commercialization.
• Keep abreast of regulatory and industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct and lead technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs. Contribute to design standards, support redesigns and re-use.
• Directs, monitors and guides good working practices related to QHSE, technical rigor, professional behaviour, and performance of the assigned team.
• Manage, create, and maintain product documentation. Follows Concurrent life cycle process and procedures for product documentation.
• Lead service quality investigations.
• Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization, and business.
• Provide support to the field and customers though InTouch.
• Improve portfolio reliability and divisions assets.
• Improve portfolio efficiency and increase asset utilization within the division.
• Reduce CoSD of portfolio.
• Authors technical papers, articles, patents and presentations.
• Travels to field locations at short notice to support users directly.
• Develop extensive relationships with suppliers to enable portfolio support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of working experience with Coiled Tubing equipment.
• Knowledge of Coiled Tubing Well Control Equipment
• Business systems knowledge and experience with Maximo, MT Ecosystem, QUEST, SAP
• Global Engineering Management software (GEMS), product lifecycle management application
• Experience with obsolescence opportunities, management, and product strategies to end of production and support.
• Experienced in coordinating with DNV, ABS or other regulatory company.
• Ability to author technical papers and client presentations.
• Ability to develop portfolio strategy.
• Provides technical support and knowledge services through the InTouch system.
• Familiar with SLB and division standards and procedures
• Familiar with the SLB Asset Care program
• Familiar with API standards for Coiled Tubing Operations, maintenance, and inspections of the equipment
• Familiar with products designed and tested to meet ATEX regulations for explosive atmosphere.
• Familiar with European Union directives, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
• Experienced in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Understands and interprets engineering drawings.
• Experience in engineering design calculations (flow, pressure, load, heat dissipation).
