This position is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of various pavement preservation construction projects.
Accountabilities:
Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure profitability goals are met
Provide estimating support to develop the bid schedule, and participate in bid review/closing to ensure 100% accuracy in evaluating project feasibility
Coordinate with construction manager, operations superintendent, project engineers, subcontractors, and any other applicable project team personnel to develop comprehensive plan for successful project start up and completion
Ensure proper job controls, quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, and any other project stakeholders providing outstanding customer service and developing long-term client base partnerships
Ensure accurate bidding, construction, and financial reporting for all projects, encouraging continuous improvement
Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins
Clearly understand, and constantly support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
Education & Work Experience:
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction management
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments
Prior experience in pavement preservation in either private or public environments is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of bidding and building heavy civil construction work
Availability to travel to various job sites ensuring work is set up properly, materials are within speck, and operational leaders are set up to successfully execute work
Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and common sense
Excellent leadership skills, specifically in relation to behaviors that lead to safe work and job profitability
Ability to communicate directly and effectively with operational leaders, inspectors, customers, owners, and various other stakeholders
Highly accurate with excellent organizational and time management skills

Base Salary Range:
$95,005.00 - $142,509.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
