Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help expand our events production portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, excellent networking skills, and a passion for the events industry. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify New Business Opportunities:
Research and identify potential clients and partners within the events industry. Develop and implement
strategies to target and secure new business.
- Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs and
provide tailored solutions to meet their event requirements.
- Sales and Revenue Growth:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive
business growth.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands. Provide insights and
recommendations to improve our event offerings.
Create compelling and customized proposals for clients. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals
meet client expectations and align with company capabilities.
- Event Planning and Execution:
Work closely with the events team to ensure seamless planning and execution of events. Ensure all client
requirements are met, and events are delivered to the highest standard.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and expand our
business network.
Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback. Use data to inform decision-
making and strategy development.
Act as the primary client contact, addressing needs, resolving issues, maintaining strong relationships,
providing updates, and ensuring successful event execution.
Requirements & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in the events & exhibition industry.
- Proven management level experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the events industry.
- Strong network within the events industry and a track record of successful client acquisition and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
