Job Description
As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, transportation, and customer service. This hands-on role involves managing daily operations, including order picking, releasing stock to production areas, and ensuring timely deliveries. You will take full responsibility for the accurate inventory management of raw materials and finished products to meet production and business needs.
1. Warehouse Operations:
· Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in an organized and efficient manner.
· Optimize warehouse layout to make the best use of space and streamline operations.
· Maintain equipment and ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and safe.
2. Inventory Management (Raw Materials & Finished Products):
· Oversee the inventory management of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production.
· Manage stock levels of finished products to meet customer demand and prevent stockouts.
· Perform regular stocktakes and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
· Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
· Monitor product shelf life and implement effective stock rotation strategies to minimize waste.
· Manage the return and disposal of obsolete or expired stock.
· Maintain accurate inventory records for both raw materials and finished goods to ensure traceability.
3. Logistics and Transportation (Including Daily Picking):
· Manage daily picking and order fulfilment to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.
· Plan and coordinate shipping routes, including import/export documentation and customs clearance.
· Coordinate and prioritize urgent orders to meet delivery schedules.
· Monitor cold chain management to maintain product integrity during transportation.
· Track deliveries and resolve transportation or delivery issues with in-house drivers and logistics partners.
· As required, negotiate with freight carriers and logistics providers to manage costs effectively. (including export sales)
· Monitor and report on delivery performance to ensure adherence to customer expectations.
4. Customer Service & Collaboration:
· Communicate directly with customers regarding delivery timelines, product availability, and issues.
· Resolve customer complaints related to logistics or delivery and implement corrective actions.
5. Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, SFA, MUIS).
· Develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse safety and operational efficiency.
· Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, taking prompt corrective actions where needed.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food handling and safety protocols.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, and 2 x Saturdays.
