Sydney Express Powder Coating Pty Ltd The Production Manager (Manufacturing) will be responsible for leading and managing the powder coating production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role oversees daily production activities, develops production schedules, manages resources, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet customer demands, maintain product quality, and optimize productivity. The ideal candidate will bring a wide experience in powder coating, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Benefits Salary: $87,000 to $100,000 plus Super depending on experience  Task & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Scheduling: • Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products. • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand and plan for resource allocation. Operations Management: • Oversee all production activities, from pre-treatment to coating, curing, and quality control. • Monitor and control production budgets, optimizing resources to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. • Develop and maintain production KPIs and regularly report on performance metrics. Quality Assurance: • Ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications, working closely with the quality assurance team to implement and uphold quality checks. • Identify and address potential issues in the coating process, including surface defects, uneven coatings, and adherence problems. Team Leadership: • Recruit, train, and manage production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members. • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, empowering employees to suggest and implement process enhancements. Safety & Compliance: • Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. • Conduct safety audits, manage incident reports, and implement corrective actions as needed. • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly those related to powder coating emissions and waste management. Continuous Improvement: • Drive process improvements in powder coating application, equipment maintenance, and waste reduction. • Utilize Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma techniques to enhance production efficiency and quality. • Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in powder coating. Qualification & Experience Education & Experience: • Must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree OR must have at least 5 years of relevant production management role, preferably within the powder coating or manufacturing industry in lieu of the formal qualification requirement Technical Skills: • Strong understanding of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment. • Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus). Interpersonal Skills: • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage staff.
