On-the-Job Training:
As an Electrical Engineer, you are expected to acquire the following skills and knowledge through hands-on experience:
1) Electrical Design in accordance to MS IEC 60364, MS1936, MS1979, MSIEC 62305, UBBL and other related standards.
- Overcurrent & Earth Fault Protection Design
- Cable Sizing, Voltage Drop & Power Losses analysis
- ELV Design
- Earthing & Lightning Protection design
2) Liaison with Authority and Other Professionals
3) Familiar with software skills such as CAD, Pvsyst, ETAP, lighting simulation etc.
4) Exposure and gain experience from physical constructional site visit.
5) Develop and enhance project management skills include coordinate, supervise and report to superior on the project/task status and progress.
6) Conduct Industrial research such as Industrial Product specification comparison, feasibility studies etc.
7) Charting your journey to Professional Engineer (Ir. Status).
Job Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for facilitating projects, which includes planning, setting project timelines, meeting the deadline as part of your on-the-job training.
- You will be responsible in Solar DC design, Pvsyst Simulation, ETAP etc.
- Your role will involve planning, designing, calculating, estimating costs, and collaborating closely with team members on various projects.
- You will be guided to conduct Engineering Feasibility Study.
- You are expected to engage with multidisciplinary engineers and other professionals, including architects and surveyors.
- Your responsibilities will include coordinating with project stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, main contractors, local authorities, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- You will be responsible to prepare tender document & conduct tender practice.
- You are required to attend meetings, interactions, and site inspections with various parties and prepare meeting minutes.
- You are required to conduct industrial research to stay updated with the latest technologies, Industrial Product specification comparison etc.
- You will assist the principal with other tasks as instructed from time to time.
- Ability to work independently to meet requirements according to specification.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum CGPA of 3.3.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Application is open for M&E Electrical Project Consultants with min 2 years experience will be an added advantage.
- Hardworking, practice common sense and willing to learn.
- Good proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia (written and oral).
- Basic proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel.
- To cooperate and ability to work with clients, consultant teams and contractors, especially in M&E Services and related fields.
- Passionate in Design and Project Management, and have a strong interest in engineering design, can meet stringent requirements, tight project schedules and willing to take challenges and grow with company.
- To have the responsibility to manage and complete undertaken project milestones within the set timeline.
- To have accountability for one’s own actions.
- To derive great value and pride from one’s profession and work, and have commitment to quality.
- To have strong curiosity and interest in engineering knowledge and have an inquiring mind, and constantly seek to improve oneself by learning.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, self-discipline with the right working attitude, self-motivation, and proactive in working.
- Ability to work independently to meet requirements according to specification.
- Must possess with own transport (car) and willing to travel.
