Job Description:
Position Overview: A Logistic Executive in a warehouse setting plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the efficient flow of goods, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This position often requires working on weekends, public holidays, and night shifts to meet the demands of the logistics and supply chain industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations: Manage and coordinate various warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
2. Loading and Unloading: Perform and supervise loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring proper handling, stacking, and securing of products to prevent damage and ensure safety.
3. Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report any discrepancies to the management.
4. Order Fulfillment: Efficiently process customer orders, including picking products, packing them securely, and arranging for timely shipments.
5. Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and report any issues or damages immediately.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, are well-maintained and report any equipment issues for repair.
8. Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices to create a safe working environment.
9. Weekend, Public Holiday, and Night Shift Work: Be available and prepared to work on weekends, public holidays, and night shifts, as required by the warehouse's operational schedule.
10. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and managing workloads effectively.
11. Communication: Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure seamless operations and timely deliveries.
12. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. A bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
2. Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations and logistics, with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
3. Physical Fitness: Physical strength and stamina to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading heavy goods.
4. Forklift Certification: A valid forklift operator's certification may be required.
5. Organizational Skills: Excellent organization and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory control and quality assurance.
7. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff effectively.
8. Flexibility: Willingness to work during weekends, public holidays, and night shifts to meet operational requirements.
