Together with the team, you will support and navigate the growth of IKEA and steer the business towards sustained long term profitability, including securing financial business performance and compliance with policies and standards.
Your Assignment
• To lead the store Business Plan process together with the Steering Team and proactively work with local market data to understand people’s life at home and our customers experience across all touchpoints to provide relevant insights;
• To take the lead and drive performance update, commercial and operational insights (where possible) and secure the relevant inputs during the forecasting and budgeting process;
• To work closely with the Commercial Team in identifying commercial opportunities and promote the use of business case thinking when evaluating and acting on those opportunities;
• To drive and coordinate the financial business planning process and secure that the financial dimensions are aligned with the store challenges and priorities while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders;
• To have a good and full understanding of the Profit & Loss (P & L) for the store and steer actions to provide store in shape as new, managing and/or reducing costs while considering all impacts on the P&L and follow up on result and activate scenario plan (if applicable);
• To steer the effective use of staffing resources through using process effectiveness KPIs to ensure constant evaluation and improvement of our staff planning;
• To provide relevant, user-friendly business information, promote standardised reports and secure competence in the organisation to allow for analysis and understanding of the performance to make optimal business decisions;
• To secure all investments are done with proper analysis/ ROI, considering all aspects of different projects;
• To ensure and implement relevant rules and guidelines in the areas of Risk and Compliance, cash administration routines, accounting rules among others
Your profile
• A strategic finance business partner with at least 10 years of leadership experience, strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to be able to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions;
• A collaboration champion with strong influencing skills to navigate and succeed in a large matrix organisation;
• A leader who has experience in leading teams, preferably in retail environment coupled with budget and business steering;
• A retailer who contributes towards the business through actions and presence including weekends, public holidays and on rotating shifts
