Fundraising Events Manager

About us
The Fundraising and Partnerships Team are aiming to achieve an income target of £11.3 million by devising and delivering events that give our prospective and current donors an outstanding experience of the Science Museum Group.
We are now recruiting for a Fundraising Events Manager on a permanent, full-time contract working 35 hours per week.
This role can be based at any of our sites: Science Museum in London, Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, National Railway Museum in York, National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, with hybrid working also included.
About the role
As Fundraising Events Manager, you will develop and deliver a series of cultivation and stewardship events that attract, engage and retain high value supporters across all of our museums.
You will be working collaboratively with the Head of Supporter Engagement to ensure the planning and delivery of all events is seamless and supports the goals of the Fundraising and Partnerships team. Whilst also building good working practices with external suppliers and contractors local to each site to ensure value for money and high standards.
From bespoke tours and exclusive lectures to networking receptions and launch events, you will create a world-class supporter experience that inspires individuals, companies, and trusts to engage with and financially support the museums.
About you
Joining us, you will have proven experience of planning and delivering large scale events in a venue, ideally in a high value fundraising context or hospitality, corporate and other industries. You will possess advanced organisational, time management and project management skills alongside experience of managing budgets and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Crucially, you will be an effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have the ability to embrace imaginative and innovative solutions in addition to the creativity required to plan and deliver engaging events.
