Based in the Singapore office, working directly with the Partner in Charge, Singapore, the role plays a key part in executing KWM’s strategy for Singapore and the wider South and Southeast Asian region by applying market insight, business development, relationship building and brand enhancing skills.
Key elements include:
- Supporting the formulation and implementation of the firm’s strategy and business development plan for Singapore and its wider surrounding region
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of a program of BD and marketing activities for the Singapore office focussing on key clients and practices
- Identifying and implementing improvements for cross-firm and team collaboration in relation to clients and opportunities
- Leadership role of a small BD team in Singapore and interface with the wider KWM BD team (in particular, the team in KWM Australia) for support and collaboration
About You
With your proven experience in business development, preferably within a legal or professional services environment, your strategic thinking and analytical skills will be valued and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will set you up for success.
With an excellence without arrogance ethos, you will lead by example and understand the need to pitch in as and when required. You will also bring:
- Business development experience in South and Southeast Asia
- Ideally, experience in a law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal clients built on trust, respect and rapport
- Ability to communicate with staff, management and partners at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities as a result of research and analysis of business trends, market, client and competitor intelligence
- Experience developing and implementing revenue enhancing, business and marketing strategies
- Ability to manage complex issues involving numerous parties
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Experience delivering effective day to day/operational business development support
