Main Duties

-Day to day allocation and implementation of duties for rostered security officers in accordance with Assignment Instructions (A. I's) and any additional manning requirements that have been previously arranged or are deemed necessary due to unforeseen situations.

-Ensure that all security officers are in possession of a valid SIA licence or letter of dispensation before being booked on for duty, confirming this by signing the relevant D.O.B.

-Provide first line incident investigation and supervision in response to security and life safety situations when required.

-Escalate and report any/all security breaches to line management.

-Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of both FSG and the client.

-Provide necessary documentation to security officers to communicate change of circumstance any functions.

-Report immediately any/all equipment faults to the relevant vendor, providing correct details and in a timely manner.

-Carry out regular post visits throughout each shift to ensure supervisory oversight and security officers' adherence.

-Issue daily security briefs to all rostered security officers to inform them of any ongoing or upcoming events of interest.

-Assume role of Assembly Area Marshall/Manager in the event of an emergency evacuation.

-Always remain vigilant to safeguard the security of all personnel and assets within each DB premises.

-Deal with the client and the client's staff in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.

-At all times ensure that the building(s) under your care are well presented, clean and tidy, in good repair and condition by way of reporting maintenance issues as required.

-Respond to emergency situations and assist with emergency building evacuations when necessary.

-Ensure that the log books for each building(s) under your care are present, completed and up to date by way of daily checks / post visits and sign each book to confirm this.

-Maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communication to colleagues at all times.

-Provide first aid if required when responding to an emergency medical situation.

-Remain alert to local events which potentially impact business operations.

-Ensure full compliance of audit requirements by way of following current processes in place.

-Remain pro-active in your approach to the role and escalate any concerns you may have to Mitie management.

-Any other duty deemed relevant by line management / contract management.

What is the role?

The role involves carrying out cleaning tasks at public conveniences. Our service is demand-led which means you will have to be able to assess what needs doing at each job and prioritise tasks that pose potential risks, dealing with these first and then carrying out the remainder of the cleaning tasks in an organised/systematic/methodical way.

In addition to daily activities, you may be required to carry out specialist cleaning tasks, such as steaming, jet-washing and buffing. Cleaning experience would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be given. You will be required to carry out internal and external cleaning throughout the year working in all weathers.

You need to be flexible in where you work, including moving around different teams and housing areas, sometimes at short notice, in order to allow us to effectively run our service. It is imperative that you are reliable and a good timekeeper. You must have a good understanding of Health & Safety practices and be able to demonstrate safe methods of work when cleaning which promotes the health and safety of yourself and others. You will need to use equipment correctly and be prepared to carry out regular care and maintenance of the equipment provided.

In addition to cleaning around the estate, you will be required to deal with customer feedback which will involve speaking to residents as well as reporting bulky items, communal repairs and anti-social behaviour issues to the relevant departments. Good communication skills are essential, both over the phone and face-to-face. You will be working either in a small team or on your own and will be required to self-manage in order to meet our purpose at each job you are assigned.

The Post Public Health Strategist The post-holder will assist in the implementation of public health policies, national guidance and the evidence base to increase healthy behaviours and support the reduction of health inequalities in the borough. The role will lead the recommissioning of the NHS Health Check contract. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the service, working with partners to identify how to increase uptake of the programme in target groups, including residents from the most deprived parts of the borough and marginalised groups. In addition, this post will be leading on novel and community-driven interventions, i.e., womens health pathways andalsoprovision of cardiovasculardisease (CVD) checks within workplaces around Brent. The Person We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Public Health professional to join our team. You will be highly organised and be comfortable working within a fast paced environment where the focus is on the delivery and management of multiple programmes and projects to high standards within tight timescales. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of partners, to support the development of locally appropriate public health programmes.
