Position Overview
LZS Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our dynamic team at our early learning centre in Ryde, NSW. This position is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing centre known for its commitment to high-quality education and a play-based curriculum that fosters holistic child development. The Early Childhood Teacher will play a critical role in creating an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging environment that respects each child's individuality while promoting positive learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Curriculum: Design and deliver a play-based curriculum that incorporates Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and other modern educational philosophies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to early childhood education.
Foster Child Development: Encourage the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children through interactive and engaging learning activities, adapting teaching methods to meet each child's unique needs.
Monitor and Assess Progress: Observe, record, and assess each child’s progress, maintaining detailed and confidential records, and adjusting activities to support individual learning goals.
Build Positive Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive community.
Create a Safe Environment: Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment, upholding centre policies and procedures, including health, hygiene, and safety standards.
Professional Development: Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, child development, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with other educators and support staff to provide a cohesive learning experience, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to the growth and development of the centre.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised university.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Early Childhood Teaching.
Strong understanding of child development and early learning practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enthusiastic, patient, and compassionate with a genuine love for teaching young children.
