Implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures
Identify and manage vendors, including contract development and compliance, and vendor performance
Collaborate with Quality Department in vendor audit, investigation, issues, change control, and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions, particularly for OEM products, raw materials and components.
Work closely with R&D to manage procurement activities from prototyping and engineering builds planned, as part of the product development process
Direct initiation of procurement and purchasing processes in SAP system
Track vendor performance metrics focusing on cost, quality, delivery, continuous improvement and sustainability
Enter into negotiations with vendors on optimal terms for sourcing, establish agreements that meet the company's performance criteria for long-term supply continuity
Establish and foster strategic vendor relationships, develop risk assessment and mitigation plan for critical vendors, and escalate business risks, as necessary
Develop strategic alternate sourcing list to drive down costs and ensure assurance of supply
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma or Degree in the relevant Engineering field or in Business Administration, Accounting or Economics.
Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar capacity
Must be effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with counterparts in China
Able to analyze information quickly and accurately
