An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Enfield to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Years 1/2. This is a long-term supply role.
Key Responsibilities of a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
- Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.
Requirements of a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a KS1 Teaching Assistant is essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential
