Job Responsibilities:
· Support Global Tax Director in the effective management of the tax affairs of the Group on tax advisory, tax optimisation, compliance, risk management, tax controversy and transfer pricing
· Responsible for corporate tax issues pertaining to the regions of Europe, North America, South America and North Asia, by collaborating with regional/ local finance heads to provide tax perspective and decision-making advice for both short term and long term strategic direction
· Responsible for the monitoring and management of the Group’s corporate tax compliance, including Group’s compliance to BEPS related regulations such as submission and/or notification on local transfer pricing documentation, CBCR and Master File
· Responsible for working on tax strategy on any related business initiative such as M&A activities, structuring cross border transactions, etc
· Monitor changes in international tax landscape, including BEPS’ developments and evaluate implications to the Group
· Participate in tax knowledge sharing sessions to continuous upgrading of tax knowledge and capabilities
· Implement strategic tax projects for the Group, including identify and evaluate corporate tax strategy with respect to group's operations and opportunities for tax optimisation and risk management
· Work with legal entities to monitor and manage timely and accurate corporate tax compliance of Group companies, including BEPS related compliance such as local transfer pricing compliance, CBCR and Master File regulations
· Explore use of innovative technology to enhance tax function capabilities
· Responsible for managing, maintaining and updating monitoring tool for compliance
· Review and analyse Master File, transfer pricing documentation and segmented P&L to identify and resolve transfer pricing gaps
· Responsible for managing, maintaining and updating segmented P&L template
· Monitor and manage tax risks and exposures of the responsible Group companies, including manage/ support legal entities in local/ cross border tax audits
· Participate in tax saving and tax optimisation initiatives and monitor compliance with tax incentives conditions for the responsible Group companies
· Provide tax advice and address tax issues especially on business transactions and compliance matters
· Review of contracts from tax perspective to ensure that tax risks, costs and obligations are considered
· Keep abreast of tax changes and provide interpretation and guidance on tax regulations relevant/ applicable to the Group
· Coordinate with legal entities and Procurement on the type of work to be outsourced and handled by external tax consultant
· Analyse the Group's effective tax rate
· Undertake other tasks or participate in adhoc projects, as may be assigned
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent tax professional qualification
- Minimum 6 years of tax experience gained from public tax practice and commercial tax positions in multinational company handling corporate tax and/or transfer pricing
- Experience in a regional/ global tax role in multinational company environment is a plus
- Strong tax technical knowledge and analytical skills with ability to explain complex tax concepts in simple terms to non-tax professionals
- Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills for working with various internal and external stakeholders in cross cultural environment
- Proactive and self motivated team player, meticulous and effective communicator who can work independently with multicultural teams
- Detailed-oriented and able to perform well under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing and indirect tax
