JOB PURPOSE

1. To assist, plan and maintain:
   1. Good practices of assembly operation in TKAD to ensure continuance of producing Shockstar in time and cost-effective ways while keeping highest safety and product quality standard at any time.
2. To sustain the plant requirements that contributes to achievement of overall Plant Strategic Plan and Operational Excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production

1. Analyze raw material stock level by considering forecast provided by Sales and Export team.
   1. Data gathering to understand pattern of each Shockstar ordering.
   2. Ensure raw materials are available prior production start by clearing all transaction in SAP.
   3. Conduct proper raw material monitoring includes stock movement and storing capacity within safe standard.
   4. Record, track and transfer physical copy of inventory transactions (raw materials, packing materials, etc) into SAP system daily.
   5. Ensure SAP system is updated in a timely manner to avoid any inconsistency with physical count of raw materials.
   6. Liaising with other members of different departments of any updates to SAP with regards to Inventory, Purchasing, Sales (Local), Sales (Export) and Supply Chain.
   7. Ensure all relevant documentation are well kept and in order in compliance ISO requirements.
2. Processing order received from Sales and Export department.
   1. Prepare and review Packing List required for exporting Finish Products to meet demands of overseas customers and legal requirements.
   2. Evaluating, develop and modify production schedule with consideration of machine capacity and manpower capacity.
   3. Provide daily updates on Finished Goods produced in SAP by transferring data from daily production record into system.
3. Maintain good performance in production by monitoring the productivity and plant efficiency
   1. Observe and evaluate the progress of production and completion of tasks to optimize the plant capacity and work efficiently.
   2. Manage operators work arrangement and delegate tasks on daily basis to ensure targets are achieved.
   3. Conduct daily briefing/toolbox meeting to all staffs on production details, update on any relevant information and reminder of adherence towards safety practices to mitigate error and unsafe practices.
   4. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards.
   5. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
   6. Gathering production data that includes production output, manhours, overtime and material consumed for the production monthly report and submitted to the Plant Manager
4. Ensuring maintenance of the machines are managed accordingly to avoid interruption during production.
   1. Managing spare part inventory.
   2. Provide effective maintenance schedule and coordination internally and externally.
   3. Conduct continuous improvement on machine performance.

 Quality

1. Ensuring operational procedures are followed thoroughly, maintained and updated accordingly to avoid any product defects as well as to maintain safe operation.
2. Monitor, assess and improve competencies and knowledge of workers through development of lesson module and internal training periodically.
3. Evaluating materials and finished goods rejection rate in compliance to quality specification standard.
4. Commit to all customer complaints and feedback.

In this position, the candidate will have an opportunity to work on real engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers. The projects involve at least one of the following areas: research, design, and development, mainly covering the test program, automation script, and system software.

Engineer under Product Development Team will be responsible for Platform (SSD) Test Development activities in relation to NPI Product Test Development. Scope of engineering work encompasses following:

• Participates in designing a complete comprehensive framework of Functional Product Test Plan for any specific Memory or SSD product (SATA,SAS,PCIe).
• Participates in designing processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
• Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
• Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
• Participates in designing, developing, and implementing effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for NPI phases of product development and manufacturing.
• Provides multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
• Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
• Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
• Participates in evaluating test strategy to best fit the quality-of-test for new product
• Develops Product characterization parameters by using test platform or instrumentation

Job Description

• Responsible for providing a guidance to junior tech/support on the SSD test activities.
• Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan assigned by Engineers.
• Work closely with Engineers for daily product sanity checkout, volume checkout, and test program validation.
• To participate and provide an opinion in team events is a key indicator.
• Proactively learn on the data compilation of test drive logs event for the manufacturing minor excursion.
• Participate & contribute in tester/infrastructure and process improvements.
• Ability to read the electrical schematic diagram is an advantage.
• Verbally & email communication need to be clearly described the background and update.
• Adaptability on the flexibility of assignment based on the product issue, request & excursion.

 - The Staff Engineer defines, develops and qualifies new semiconductor packages and maintains quality of existing packages. 

- Represents Package Engineering in cross-functional teams and ensures that packages are characterized, qualified and introduced into production in a timely manner while meeting all electrical, performance, reliability and quality requirements.  

- Take responsibility for product DPPM, as well as new Technology development programs and new NAND/ASIC development Quality and Reliability.  

- Develop a comprehensive quality guidance library encompassing engineering work criteria, statistical Design of Experiments (DOE), Scorecard, sampling plans, and metric/methodology instructions.  

- Address quality cases in technology and product development using DMAIC, RCA, and 8DR methodologies.  

- Coordinates with factories worldwide on the high volume introduction of new packages and assembly processes. Manages assembly yield improvement and package cost reduction programs.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Factory Capex planning base on the loading forecast, Capex budget control and monitoring on capital utilization and efficiency.
• Productivity improvement project: Lead in cost saving projects such as Productivity improvement, cycle time improvement, MMR improvement, etc. to meet company goals.

• To work as Product Quality Engineer for eSSD / uSD and SD products at Contact Manufacturing in Malaysia and neighboring regions.
• To carry out work as Quality Assurance Program Management for eSSD / uSD and SD products in Contact Manufacturing in Malaysia and neighboring regions.
• In response to transfer product from development, to qualify, manage product as as well as process qualification, establish quality control plans, and manage Contact Manufacturing.
• In this role, one is expected to travel and be on-site supplier as needed to maintain high quality product at supplier/CM sites.

• Sustain and Monitor all Tester repair and maintenance by ensure the quality and efficiency of the assigned machine in production.
• Ensure correct settings and configuration are applied on the machine prior to use in Mass production.
• Support equipment failure analysis from NPI to HVM stage on various test products with detailed perfromance and charatceristion reports.
