We seek to hire a smart finance professional with good business acumen and sound understanding of company accounts, statutory reporting, AR/AP management, payroll management and cash management. The position will report to the business head and will have accountability for revenue realisation as well as overall profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for monthly closing of accounts, and reporting of monthly performance
• Provide timely and accurate information to the management on financial health of the business
• Responsible for the correct coding of the general ledger accounts and GST
• Support in compliance, internal controls, audit , GST and corporate tax matters as appropriate
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and follow up on outstanding and receivables
• Management of purchases, PO’s and payables
• Regular Bank interface on fund position, OD etc.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting & planning. Participate in ad-hoc projects & initiatives including preparation of annual reports, XBRL reports, board papers. Provide user training on systems and processes
• Support ERP and WMS system enhancements. Identify & propose business process enhancements.
Must haves:
• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience with solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting
• Experience in a managing a full spectrum of accounting tasks, including month-end closing of accounts, preparation of management reports and various schedules for account reconciliation
• Experience in maintaining documentation of processes and procedures and ensuring adherence with internal controls.
• Experience in dealing with external auditors, tax agents, etc.
• General knowledge of Marine Supply industry and Shipping.
• MS Office, Accounting Software, Excellent command over written & spoken English
