The Relationship Manager will be reporting into the Digital, Tech & Comms (DT&C) segment within Citi's Commercial Bank and will be focused on banking privately held emerging-growth software companies that are VC-backed Series A or later-stage US-headquartered companies with revenues between $10 million and $100 million.

Growth in this segment is based on a prudent and organized approach to client selection and capital allocation to ensure we are developing strong relationships with clients who seek Citi’s unique value proposition based on our global platform and sophisticated product set, including the investment banking services offered through the bank’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG). For the day-to-day banking, the vast majority of DT&C clients use CitiDirect, Citibank's web-based global banking platform that supports a full range of transaction and reporting capabilities in a secure environment.
 

Success requires a skill set and experience that allows the bank to offer customers and prospects more complex products and customized transaction structures. Our Relationship Managers are responsible for evaluating and meeting clients’ needs by efficiently utilizing the bank’s resources across the globe. They work closely with partners in Cash Management, FX trading and Credit Risk to conduct in-depth analysis and customize solutions. They are held accountable for maintaining and growing relationships successfully over time.

Responsibilities:

• Calls on C-suite executives to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectations
• Introduces solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio;
• Works with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients’ individual needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relationship management experience with technology clients who have venture capital backing. Experience working with multi-national corporates is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of banking and investment products as well as a track record of providing sound banking, financial advice, and solutions to growth stage clients in the Tech and Digital space.

The EC Digital Tech & Communications Global Technology Subsector Head is responsible for directly originating and managing Citi’s coverage and expansion efforts for corporate clients within this subsector that are headquartered in the United States and generate revenues from $10MM to $100MM+. This role will primarily cover non-sponsor backed clients and require the person to lead and manage integrated sales and relationship programs, drive client-centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace, and achieve substantial growth targets for the business. The Application Development Group Manger for IBS Authorization, SAS Fraud for Branded Cards and CRS, and Retail Bank EFD (Electronic Fraud Detection) is a position within Core Payments of Lean Core Platform and Processing Engineering that will provide leadership for a strong team that is supporting application development and vendor interactions for these applications in test and production environments.  

Position will require focus on people management, application management and Safety and Soundness efforts across several businesses including Branded Cards, CRS and Retail Bank. The team consists of employee and contractor resources in Several sites in North America and India.

The Enterprise Risk Technology Team is responsible for delivering Risk Management software solutions to Citi’s Risk organization which manages Citi’s exposure to financial institutions, governments and corporates that trade with Citi. The team manages enhancements to systems used to compute metrics that help mitigate Citi’s exposure including counterparty default. These include computation of optimal Margin Allocation for Portfolios and Trades, Haircut for Security and Cash Collateral, Trade and Collateral Liquidity, Collateral Concentration Levels and Wrong Way Risk, amongst others. The role is required to provide PM/BA skills to aid deliveries for large Regulatory Risk initiatives within the bank.

The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with stakeholders across the Risk and Markets Technology, Risk Management, Finance and Front Office business organizations, and external Market Regulators
• Understanding of the functional aspects of projects, and documenting when required, based on Business Requirements, including engagement with technical leads on functional solutions.
• Manage expectations of various stakeholder groups and help negotiate solutions to complex problems.
• Project manage complex Counterparty Credit Risk projects end to end, also Market Risk aspects where required. Accurately record, maintain, and report Program/Project management tracking data such as milestones via Citi’s internal project tracking systems.
• Assemble/manage detailed documentation, to be used to discuss technology implementation details with the Business users.
• Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams.
• Key contributor to large Regulatory initiatives undertaken within the firm.
• Assess project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit clear and concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports.
• Apply a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
• Ownership of management reports on a given engagement.
• Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining, and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.

Knowledge/Experience:

• 6+ years related experience in Business Analysis and Project Management
• Experience in Capital Markets domain a distinct advantage.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) awareness including coverage of range of methodologies including Waterfall and Agile processes.
• Understanding of the mechanics and life cycle of derivatives products, including Options, Futures, Forwards and Swaps also Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) products an advantage.
• Understanding of the concepts of Counterparty Credit Risk or Market Risk highly beneficial including Basel III/IV, Credit Value Adjustment (CVA) and any other relevant Risk Regulations and measures.
• Ability to understand complex System flows including their capabilities and limitations. When required represent flow and Application interactions diagrammatically. Risk Systems experience a distinct advantage.
• Proven Ability to document requirements at Business and Functional level.
• Extensive project management experience, including co-ordination across remote global teams.
• Use of MS Office applications, MS Project, Jira and confluence preferable or other similar project tools.
• Strong communication skills and time management, ability to navigate a complex environment, work with a large group of stakeholders and participate in decision making.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree an advantage.
• Graduate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or Finance disciplines.
• FRM/CFA or other financial mathematics degree or certification is an advantage.
