Job responsibilities

• Lead and develop promotion strategy and calendar to optimise efficiency in driving sales, with regular tracking of sales performance and ability to drive action plans and make key decisions to pivot and optimise promotions to achieve business targets.
• Create compelling promotion tactics that optimise the profitability of the products, with a strong justification paper on the tactics proposed and business case, while driving the topline revenue and ensuring competitiveness of promotion against the competition.
• Create promotion materials with sharp messaging with key reason to believe (RTB) on products, along with engaging visual that is relevant to the target segment to drive brand equity.
• Oversee the operational efficiency and processes for promotion team while adhering to risk and compliance regulatory guidelines. This includes stakeholders and vendor management, customers handling, detailed budgeting and timeline management to deliver the consumer promotions effectively and efficiently. Lead and provide directions on system enhancements and testing required for promotion

Experience

• Degree in marketing/business or any related discipline

Supports the Product Lead in the end to end product development process including actively reviewing the life and health products, providing recommendations on enhancement, withdrawal or development of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts market research on new product developments and prepare analysis to provide insights on market trends, differentiating product proposition and competitive comparisons to support new product development.
• Supports in conducting focus groups with distribution/customers to test out new product ideas or get feedback on existing products.
• Responsible for drafting and updating product specifications and assist in preparation of product presentation for Life and Health Executive Committee’s evaluation and approval.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders from the product implementation workgroup (e.g. distribution, operations, actuarial and product marketing) to channel inputs into the product proposition, manage delivery timeline and resolve any implementation issues.
• Responsible for drafting of new product launch training slides, drafting/updating of product related materials (such as product summaries and product factsheet) as well as reviewing of product/fund materials, policy contract and FAQs.
• Supports on the communication and drafting of product launch announcements.
• Supports on the post product launch monitoring.
• Keep abreast of market developments through market intelligence, research and competitive analysis, translating these into insights on market trends, business implications or new product ideas.
• Supports the Product Lead in the product review/performance and marketing initiatives such as campaigns and reviewing of materials, providing inputs, etc.

Qualifications:

• Degree in any field
• 5 to 8 years in the life insurance industry with experience in product development/ pricing, exposure to proposition development and project implementation
• Individuals with strong insurance development/business experience will also be considered
• Good knowledge of life and health products
• Insurance qualifications would be advantageous
• Analytical, detailed, results driven and is comfortable to work with tight timelines
• Good knowledge of market trends and business oriented
• Good communicator and able to work with multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Understand the needs of corporate clients on payments and collections products and develop corporate products and services accoridng to the clients' needs.
• Drive adoption and utilization of products such as FAST, eGIRO, MEPS, PayNow, remittances, Virtual Accounts, online banking and facilitate the migration of customers from manual to digital channels.
• Develop pricing strategies for payments and collections products, considering market dynamics, customer value, and competitive positioning.
• Assist in developing marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive adoption and usage of payments and collections products.
• Work with Cash Management Sales and Relationship Managers on sales pitches, Request For Proposals (RFP), through providing timely advisory, solutioning and implementation.
• Liaise with BOC Head Office on the management of end-to-end development and roll-out of new or enhanced payments and collections product capabilities.
• Participate UAT for products related to payments and collections.
• Maintain and update product roadmap, with inputs from delivery, project teams, and IT.
• Work with various internal functional teams such as Business Units, IT, Legal & Compliance and Operation to effectively plan and execute product development and implementation.
• Attend to day-to-day product related matters such as reporting, training, legal documentation, client service support, product review, risk assessments, operational issues and audit, etc.
• Establish and execute key internal policies and operating procedures for payments and collections products. Ensure that all payments and collections products comply with relevant banking regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
• Identify and streamline implementation processes to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities for new innovative solutions through clear understanding of competitive landscape, emerging technological trends and needs of customers.

Requirements:

• A recognized University Degree or professional qualifications.
• At least 5 years experience in Payments, Collections or Channels management in financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of payment systems, technologies, and emerging trends in the payments industry.
• Familiarity with various payment methods, including mobile payments, online banking, and digital wallets.
• Knowledge of relvant regulatory requirements and compliance related to payments and collections services.
• Possess strong data analytical skills and project management skills.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese so as to communicate effectively with our China counterpart and Chinese-speaking customers.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to manage various stakeholders.
• Knowledge in APIs, payment integrations, and product manageent will be a plus.
• Positive Attitude, resourceful, independent individual with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong sense of responsibility/ ownership and effective in execution.
