JOB SUMMARY
- The Team Head, Insurance Sales reporting to the Head of Bancassurance will be required to work closely with Business Managers and Product Partners in delivering assigned KPIs (APE & Revenue Target). He/she will manage a team of Insurance Specialists Manager to support business segment(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- To support the bank’s overarching Bancassurance strategy with the objective of increasing the fee based income for the assigned segments
Business
- Achieve revenue and APE targets
- Work with insurance partners to plan for sales initiatives to achieve targets.
- Support FSC secondment project and manage the team with minimal impact to the business
Processes
- Oversee sales compliance, governance, training and competency
- Adopt and promote e-submission
People & Talent
- Manage, recruit and grow the Insurance Specialist team in terms of size, productivity, sales quality and advisory
- Coach and supervise Sales Team Managers to strengthen team’s capability
Risk Management
- Manage sales complaints and maintain sales discipline to ensure healthy BSC outcomes
Governance
- Alignment to regulatory requirements, Global PPGs, Local Banca CAs etc
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 10 plus years of relevant experience in Banking.
- Strong in People & Activity Management.
- Experience in insurance will be an added advantage.
- Management Reporting, Managing Business Segments and Partners.
- CMFAS M5, M8, M8A, M9, M9A, BCP, PGI, CommGI qualifications or equivalent are mandatory.
- Experience in managing a sales team is preferred.
